I got couple of pairs of jodphurs from robinsons they have some lightweight summer ones which I have found to be really good, I also got from ebay some summer chaps which fit to my saddle so can wear my shorts when I ride we are quite lucky in the fact when we hack out off road we dont' have to many prickly bushes etc so these chaps work very well an I can still get a tan on my legs!

Can recommend some NOT to buy :D
Harry Hall Memphis jodhs looked great: lightweight, pull on, drawstring waist. Fab, just the thing for 35 degrees +. Hmm, they come in small, medium and large, not usual sizes. I rang supplier and questioned them closely about the sizing as it's a pain in the wotsit returning stuff from Spain. I told them I wore a 28"/30"waist and considered myself to be about a UK size 12. "Oh yes madam, you'll be a medium then" they said. I duly orderd 2 pairs and waited.
They didn't fit my friend's 8 year old daughter and I couldn't get them over my knee!!!! When I stopped laughing I sent them back, at some cost.
When will equestrian manufacturers understand that although lots of skinny, lithe young things ride lots of us are more amply upholstered. I bet the large size wouldn't have fitted me either.

I havent bought jods in years as they are so ridiculously dear over here. I have a pair of caldene ones which are good but not sure if they make those anymore. in summer my fave 'jods' to ride in are my nike leggings! my mum gave em to me when they got too small and they have lasted at least 3 years of riding since then which is impressive so check out your local sports store for bargains (just dont get ones that are too thin as your legs will rub off the saddle)
