Aloe Vera mixed in feed?

Still battling with sweet itch...

Heard that Aloe Vera mixed in feed (already using the topical gel) has been found to help 'some' horses with sweet itch. Anyone else heard of this? If you do feed aloe vera to your horse, how much to you give?

I feed a cup of aloe juice (made from inner leave, not the skin and not the purified stuff) with each feeding but I feed it for it's stomach healing/ulcer fighting properties not sweet itch.
