Cody has been a complete star this weekend :D
The lorry arrived at 10am yesterday and he loaded with no problems - he hesitated slightly so we lifted one hoof onto the ramp and he walked up. The new yard is only about 10 mins drive away and he travelled fine. When we unloaded him, he had his head up looking about at the new sights but as soon as he went into the field, his head went straight down into the lush grass!!
I stayed a little while and he was really relaxed so I left him to it. I popped back in the afternoon and he was still stuffing his face. He is on his own in a field while he is wormed but there are two in the next field and he said 'hello' over the gate but he wasn't fussed at all - who needs mates in the same field when you have lots of grass! :p
I had a text from the YO saying he came in OK and was fine with his new neighbours.
This morning I popped up before breakfast (albeit not an early brekkie as had friends staying) and then went back at lunchtime to ride.
I just spent about 20 mins walking and trotting in the school and then had a walk down the road (with my friend on foot as Cody has become a wuss about going out alone!). He was really good, very relaxed in the school :D
Here are a few pics of the new yard:-
The menage and some of the paddocks (with Ely cathedral in the background)
