Ive got a 12yr old 15.1hh PB Arab (50% Arab 50% Quarter horse!) who I show in pba classes and potential competition horse etc.

this is him in dressage...

and another of him at dressage...

I want to enter him into riding horse classes or hack and I have done lots of research into which he should be but Im still confused!!

He is extremely well behaved and so he has the manners of a hack, but I think he isnt fine enough. (He used to event so is very well trained and responsive.)

Any advice will be greatfully appreciated!!

Was going ot enter him into Riding horse class the other week and see how it went, but it was cancelled due to f&m.

also I have a new havanna calcutts saddle that suits him perfectly and have a beautiful havanna bridle which i have put his plaited reins and coloured browband on. All looks very nice and matching now!
BUT - I also have a brown numnah with fleece around the edges, its fits lovely and my friend says it suits him (she has a big coloured who she shows and has done it for years), but Im wondering if its better not to have one in pba (and whichever other clases I choose form this post!)classes???

my friend has a PBA and she shows her as a hack. She's a similar build to your lovely horsie :) i'd think riding horse might be ok aswell, they tend to be lighter types.

hi, he looks like my horse and i put up the same thread recently so looking at my replies might help (intermediate show horse).

my only problem is that in my areayou only get riding horse classes so i will have to stick with that for the mean time!
