when is a whip appropriate in showing ? are they always aloud ? if not which classes are thay aloud in ? should/could i carry1 in a vetran class , best turned out and best rider at local shows? thankyou +soz bout so many questions

a cane is better, but a smart whip is fine.

I use a plaited leather crop (about £23 by Jeffries) for working hunter classes. I then use a plain show cane for everything else, but I'd get away with the whip.

If they judge the best turned out properly (which they often dont) you should have a cane not a whip.

never a schooling whip!!! i prefere a cane.:D

Never ever a long schooling whip for showing.
No pink,bright sparkley, flashing lights etc (lol) (yes and belive me they do them like that)!
A nice smart brown or black whip, pref to match your showing outfit and tack!
