This is a silly question but I'll ask anyways and I apoligise in advance as I have no pictures.
Horsey had his feet done a few weeks ago, I wasn't there when the farrier came but now he has some strange plastic stuff stuck to one side of his right front hoof. When it was first done he also was swollen and hot in the tendon on that foot but not lame. I cold hosed for a day or two and it's fine now.
I got the board bill today which includes the farrier which was twice the normal amount!!! Unfortunately, how my barn works is that there is no break down of what the farrier actually did so I don't know what this is about. It looks to be a large chip right around where the nail goes in on the front right side of his hoof that has been filled in with some sort of white plastic filler. What is this do you think?
I'm thinking maybe the farrier ripped some foot off from the nail and filled it in?
