Hi had a great time in the school today- I am a rider who gets wobbly quite often  I have had mac for about 7 weeks now and have moved him to new yard recently with an arena with riders around who are very confident and capable riders. It must have rubbed off as I had my first jump in my lesson last week on a riding school horse- Was not a pretty sight kick kick and then out of position and bum in the air:D first jump in 20 years. Today took my horse and warmed up over a few poles and he felt strong- He is a jumper from his history- then I went for it remembering my last lesson but a different kettle of fish this time as my horse keen to jump and we were away:) First jump in trot- kept a reasonable position did not feel too bad- very proud of us I went again and this time horse very keen and in canter- just went with him he jumped really big and for one horrible moment I felt in front of the movement:eek: I felt a wobbly moment coming ! I sat right back held on to the mane and away we went- great fun- If I can do it trust me anyone can:):)

he he - did not measure the jump- probally was 4 inches but felt like 4ft:):) I dont really know why I did it today apart from the fact why not ? I see everyone I know jumping and I have a horse that jumps- so with natural progression and my last lesson being a jumping one I thought what the hell- hubby is at home with the kids if I crash and fall:eek: Never thought I would have done it 2 weeks ago. My main goal now is to go out on our first hack in new place:):)
