I would turn out as a hunter. Plain flat bridle with pelham or double, snaffle if you have to. Saddle with no numnah or if you need one it should be the same colour as your saddle and the same shape.

You tweed jacket, beige jods, long boots, cream shirt, tie with tie pin, blue velvet hat preferably with flesh coloured harness. Hair in a neat bun, no jewellery and brown leather gloves and show cane.

Two reasons for that, first its correct for a hunter and second its a pony club show and pony club are very fond of that type of turnout.

You could use the same turnout for the dressage and jumping at a pony club show.

As for the child rider, why not, you meet the criteria so what if you have a horse. You will probably find a lot of the pony club kids have horses anyway as we found a lot of them were into eventing and often moved up to horses quite early.

Hiya Dizzy ere

Sorry but no. you don't need to be in a double bridle to turn out as a hunter if anything turnout in a snaffle bridle and plain showing gear. It would depend on the class rules if you can enter or not for a best child rider you would have to read the schedule.
I am also in Pony Club and we don't like horses that have to be ridden in pelhams we like plain snaffle mouth horses. and turn out how you think a showing person should look it os your way of riding the judge will be looking at not your attire
