Actually for long reining not driving but schooling whips are too short, lunge whips are too unweildy so we're looking for something well balanced and that doesn't weight a ton (or cost a small fortune).

Nylon exercise whips are available from most drivng supply places, generally about £12, you can get some really nice faux holly ones made from bamboo, light and they look really good. But they are about £50.

See my sticky thread for harness suppliers - most of those stock the nylon whips Wally mentions which should be fine for longreining, I drive with one every day.

I use a nylon one too. Bought mine from Almwick Driving Trials for £10
