Ridden Coloured

Does any1 no what stuff i should be wearing for ridden coloured? I normally wear a tweed jacket, black hat and canary jodhs, and my piebald 15.1 mare has black tack with a plain brow band. I thought that I needed a plain brow band but have recently read some where that only traditional coloureds need plain and other ones can have them pretty ones? lol. She isn't traditional, I show her plaited and she is quite cobby but not much if you get me :eek: Just wonderin if any1 knows...? Don't think its ded important cos only show at local level... Tweed jacket, blue velvet hat with flesh coloured harness, long boots, sometimes spurs depending on which society and your age, cream shirt, tie with tie pin, brown gloves and show cane

Black tack is OK for Piebald and plaiteds can have bling browband ::D

Basically you turn out as if the horse/pony was not coloured, so if apretty riding pony/horse type then coloured browband, navy jacket etc. Cobby/hunter type you sound as if you have it right, I would personally do navy hat but thats me being fussy!!

She's lovely, looks good as a plaited. What colour browband are you thinking of for her?

By the way forgot, no jewellery, hair in a bun (no scrunchies) and use thin elastic or plaiting thread for your number :D

Just about any colour would look good on a Piebald, except brown perhaps.

I have a lovely green/white/gold one for our ginger skewbald, our Piebald is a cob so not allowed one - shame.

:)you both look great i would ve said she is more of a hunter type than show/riding type and would look good with a flat broader noseband and no bling!!!Find a friend with a similar looking horse and do pairs n go really blingy :cool:

I wondered about that, with the coloureds you see both though.
