tobiano??

can any1 explain in simple english language (for me lol) what 'tobiano' and 'overo(or however its spelt lol)' mean?? its somethin todo wiv coloured but im :confused: lol.!

I never realised there were so many variants on coloured!
I knew the traditional skewbald (which I took to be tobiano) and the clydesdale type splah (which I thought was overo).
With horses always more to learn!
