Hi
I have a Standardbred trotter that races. Mostly she is trained in a speedcart, but sometimes I also ride her.
I find it difficult to find a saddle that fits.

Her name is Kings Satine, 5 year old, her father is Lindy's Crown and her mother is Sizzlin Summer, after Speedy Somolli.

Sorry for my english, I'm Norwegian :)

First some pics of the horse

STB's are very wide horses with very flat backs and huge shoulders and short backs so it can be hard to fit their saddles. Your mare is quite wide and very flat backed.

I eventually got my standardbred a special draught horse saddle. It was wide enough for him (an x-wide saddle) and flat enough.

The saddle you've hown looks to be a bit narrow - front looks to be sitting a little high and the saddle a little tipped (but it's hard to tell from a photo).

It would be worth looking at Thorowgood cob saddles for her - they're cheap but well made and lightweight and comfy and tend to fit most horses well.
