anyone tried the feed calm and condition from allen and page!?
hoping it will do good things to my horse that needs abit of condition without hotting up?
good..
bad..
results?

Used it on our 12.2hh and he is naturally fizzy and he needed a bit condition last winter if you fed reccomended amount he fizzed up madely but we fed about half then the rest spiller high fibre cubes:)

I know a couple of people who feed it to horses who normally fizz up on conditioning feeds and they have been fine.
Make sure you mix it with water though :)

Yeh make sure add water - there's instructions on the bag also I added alfalfa really helped.

I feed my Tigger on this, he dosnt hot up. like everyone else says make sure you have lots of water and chaff mixed in

Used it on my TBxArab and it didnt agree with her at all. I guess its like all feeds. Some horses agree with them, some dont...:confused:

I fed it the mad mare we had before Etta, yes it put condition on but it didn't calm her. Then again i don't think a severe blow to the head would've calmed that thing. :eek:
Other friends swear by it tho.
Like everyone else says lots of water & chaff or something else with it.

Yep I have used it on all 4 of our horses in winter its fab! would really recommend it as long as soaked in water and chaff or alfa added! Also used it on an old donkey last yr that was rescued and the results were amazin!:)
