I have found a lovely sharer for my fjord but i am going to find it impractical to share my tack because i dont have a tack room:o and dont fancy leaving me leather saddle out for the sharer.

My mum suggested buying a synthetic saddle for the sharer to keep with her, i dont want to spend to much money but it needs to be ggod quality. i like the throrogood maxam's but also found these:

They are going on ebay for about 80 pounds quite a bit cheaper than the maxam'sdo you think they would be decent quality?

never again

im haveing probs finding a saddle for my fjord.

too wide, too narrow, panels dont sit, tilting, wobbling etc.

i dont really think you need to worry about quality for a sharer in my opinion. Who knows how long the sharing will last? There is no point forking out for an expensive saddle to find it isnt being used often.

I think the fit is what would worry me, buying unseen.

I have a rhinegold and a thorowgood for Dan I think the fit of the thorowgood is better the rhinegold sits more like a jumping saddle than a GP also find the thorowgood more ocmfortable. However Dan is notoriously bad for getting a saddle to fit nicely so might be more to do with that. See if a local shop sells them and try one on your pony that way you can be sure of the fit. :)

Agree don't use good tack on loan at least until you are sure of the person my Fieldhouse had it's tree broken when Dan was out on loan years ago
