sorry, I forgot to say that I have just returned to riding after 14yrs. I am 42 and thought maybe I am too old to start again. Unfortunately, I was bitten by the bug again and decided to go the whole hog and own my own horse. Then came Louie!

good for you, I am just back after 14 years away too and would have loved to go out and buy my own horse but finances are a bit tight at the mo, so it's riding school for me for now

I started riding at 43, and love it - thats a good few years ago now - I just wish that I'd had your experience as a youngster - never going to be anything other than an old beginner!

Very best wishes - to you and to Louie

I dont believe anyone is ever too old as time spent working horses is time well spent.

I also firmly believe everyone should expierience horses at least once in thier life - as they played such an important part of our history & are the very essence of 'Britishness' to me.

So no matter how old you are or how well you think you will do, jump on its great.

Nah, I'm much older than you (50:o) and bought my first horse for my 40th birthday. You're definitely not too old. You go girl:D.
