Hi I Am Hoping Someone Can Help Me. I Have Decided To Take My Boy To A Local Show Just For A Bit Of Fun As We Haven't Competed For A Long Time.( He Is Now 19 And We Used To Do Dressage)

I Was Thinking Of Doing The Ridden Horse Or The Ridden Veteran Class.
Can You Please Tell Me What To Expect I.e. Will We Do Individual Show. Also I Only Have My Outfit From Dressage Which Is Beige Breeches, White Shirt And Stock, Navy Jacket And Black Boots. Will This Be Acceptable For A Local Show.??

It depends on what you are showing him as, a tweed may be correct instead of navy. But for local I would just change the shirt and stock for a cream shirt and nice tie. Carry a show cane and use a double or a pelham.

How long till the show collected canter?

I'm fairly new to showing too but have found this website very useful - it's written by someone on new rider.

That will be fine for local show as long as clean and tidy it does not seem to matter if correct jacket or jods not worn
