Open riding horse is a odd class really and suspect youwill get any horse that can be ridden in there however a riding horse traditionally would be tb type over 15hh normally but i did win a riding horse class with my d mare at a local show once so usually anything goes and depends on how experienced the judge is usually

In a "ridden horse" class any type of horse can enter, from traditional Riding Horses, to Cobs, Hunters, Hacks etc. If it is a "Riding Horse" class, this is open to just riding horse types, which are of lighter build than a hunter, and more substantial than a hack and are usually between 14.2hh and 16.2hh.

yes - these are 'riding horses' - ridden horse is a different thing.
