What classes could hippo enter, for his first show he is just going in hand but theres nothing at the show but M&M in hand.

There is ridden cob and ridden hunter but again won't be doing these for his first outing

Any ideas please

Hey

He could do

Large Ridden Horse
Working Hunter (if he will pop a course)
Riding Club Horse (again if he will pop a small jump)
Show hunter
Tack and Turnout

Need to look again as I am just going on what I enter but adding large for the riding horse as I enter small ridden horse

Hope this helps you!!!

Working hunter/ HW hunter

yep, feathers off and HW hunter, or working hunter if he jumps. not ridden cob unless it's a very local show - anything bigger will have the 15.1 height limit. cob type is possible, but he isn't really.

His ad advertised him as a cob as well....

Thanks for the info - wouldn't have known otherwise

he is definitely not a cob in the showing sense - they have to be 15.1 or under, for a start! i dont; think he is a cob anyway, really, i think he is more of a hunter. he tends towards the cob rather than the TB side of things, certainly, but i wouldn't look at him and think COB like i would looking at chickflick's stumpy, for instance, who is definitely a cob and couldn't be anything else.

he is a hunter but as you say Nooskter he was advertised as a cob! When i took Murphy to his first show, he had the same build and size as Hippo i got told to bulk him up and put him in cob classes! Which i found a tad bit strange!

We'll find something for him eventually! Need to get on him and teach him his left and rights haha

He could make a lovely Maxi Cob, hogged out and defuzzed. I really like him. Either Maxi Cob or HW Hunter - Maxis are getting very popular now.

Don't think i can run that fast with you two ;)

Nik is taking her boy into ridden cob on sunday depending on how he reacts upon arrival. Hopefully get a judges opinion then.
