Thinking of selling my freeform SB saddle.
Its black, 16.5 inch seat, forward girthing, good condition.
How much do you think is a reasonable price to sell for?

I think it depends on age of saddle, whether you have the flexible arch, or a fixed wither plate? Shame it isn't a full size Freeform, as I am after one of those! ;)

This one has the flexible plate. I can't be sure on exact age, I have had it nearly a year, or just over, its had one more owner before me.
Do freeforms have serial numbers?

No, as far as I know they don't have serial numbers. :)

I paid about £300 for my standard Freeform but I think that's slightly older than yours. Have seen quite a few listed on ebay for about £450 that haven't sold, so I guess somewhere between £300 and £450.
Let me know if you do decide to sell it, been considering selling mine and buying an SB :)

really, I thought it would go for a more than that considering what we paid for it a year ago.

Freeforms aren't fetching great money at the moment as so many of them have been sold lately (my guess is people upgrading to the new models). I have a buyer lined up for mine - it's going for £550 (saddle [with thigh rolls and extra D rings], matching leathers and brand new Haf Airnet pad) and the money is going straight into my new one.

I think I would like at least £500 for it, I already have a saddle lined up I want to buy, so need to sell saddle quick now!

If it's in good condition and you sell it with accessories, I don't see why you shouldn't get £500 for it. On it's own, probably not.

I don't really want to sell any of my accessories with it, I need them for the new saddle:o

I think you'd be lucky to get a really good price for the saddle without at least a treeless pad to go with it. As you know, the pad alone can cost up to £100 which is a lot to add on to the cost of buying a secondhand saddle. The reasons I've managed to secure a decent price for my saddle are 1) it has extras which would have made it more expensive in the first place and 2) I'm selling it with the pad and stirrup leathers, meaning the new owner only needs to swap their girth (or buy one if needs be - about £25 will get them a nice dressage girth) and irons over from their existing saddle.

I know its easier to sell a saddle with extra bits, but I use the pads and leathers for my other saddles, and selling them would mean I would just have to go out and buy the same again.
I have bought saddles without pads, it allows me to pick my own pad for my horses conformation instead of making do with what comes with it.

TBH I've bought all of mine without accessories as well but with so many cheap imitation treeless saddles on the market, you have to make yours really desirable to get the buyer to go for it instead of an unknown.
