My lot can reach a few branches of our damson trees and help themselves, they crunch the stones. Obviously they can't get many and they are electric fenced off but a half a dozen or so (each) seems ok. They also browse on blackberries and hawthorn berries and are ok on those too.

Don't go and give them bucket loads though.... I would imagine they would get colic. Sell the plums to your friends and neighbours, I've managed to sell them at 50p a bag.

My mum fed Lacey a nectarine not thinking of the stone and I had to shove my whole hand in her gob to pull it out. :D

My boy lived in an orchard for a few years. All the horses ate plums all day long :o ... Rambo spits out the stone!
