I have a 6 yr old colored cob who has managed to get a place on the six occasions he has been to to dressage , i only do pre lim but my yo has done a few novice tests on him and has always been placed well. He is not schooled terribly well and i am not a greatly experienced or skilled rider but we seem to do ok together. SO whats my problem? recently riding him has been like riding a block of concrete and he has been very difficult to bend because of this. Even hacking he looks like his head is to one side. My yo rode him out the other day and is convinced he is blocking behind the jaw. I don't really understand this and if hes blocking from the jaw then it seems pointless me spending hours try to flex his neck if the problem is behind the jaw. The chiropractor is coming in a few weeks but i don't know how to tackle the problem now so any help would be appreciated.
