We are now using a mullen mouth pelham in our 16hh cobby mare. She seems she prefers it to her french-link snaffle as she is lighter in the mouth and more under herself but she sticks her tonugue out after a while so was thinking about a portmouth to relieve this.
But I remember a similar horse to Kiz I use to ride who was in a military elbow port mouth. I took me years to find what this bit is..
