i own my own kiger mustang stallion and his colour is a dun now is it me or is that a rare coat for his breed ?? i've only had him since he was 2 and a half years old hes now 3 and his colour is just getting brighter and brighter and he has passed the colour onto his only daughter :) shes almost a roan dun but not quite so what is she ?!

A kiger mustang? Wow, where on earth did you find him? Are you sure his foal is actually his, cos if he is only 3 now, he must have sired the filly as a yearling, and that sounds a bit unlikely.

Dun is the default colour for kigers, its not really rare. I beleive they also come in a sort of red dun, which may be what the filly is growing into.

I was going to say - the only othe Kiger mustang I know is also dun. What's with importing the US's feral horse population ? Seems like an awfully convoluted way to get a feral horse - are there no such things in Europe ?

Oh kate, you big silly, you KNOW we've only got feral horses in Wales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, the New Forest....practically nowhere.

Roan dun - now that is an interesting colour!
Where did you import your boy from? I know it costs a fortune to import fron the US.
A friend of mine has a small breeding herd of Spanish mustangs in the UK and I always hankered after one in grullo.

Yes, the majority of Kiger Mustangs are Dun. Is what makes a Kiger..a.. Kiger.
