well questions in the title really what are they for/do? im just curious. ta. :p

From what I gather they are to keep the horses mouth shut and to stop them avoiding the contact from the bit

My new mare came complete with bridle, which had a crank flash noseband. Even with the flash strap removed, the actual noseband was pretty tight on her, so I just removed the whole thing!

Anyone want a lovely black full size padded crank flash noseband? :p
