Could I Show Him Halter??

I know NOTHING about halter... other than I THINK they judge con. of the horse.... I was thinking of trying a halter class because I love watching them lol. I know stupid but heck shows are about having fun right? I just want to know if I should even bother entering him or if I'll be laughed out the ring?? hope I took good pics lol.

First I will say I know nothing at all abut showing in the USA.

If you were showing in the UK I would say you would definately not be laughed out of the ring. Its difficult to be sure from pics and larger ones, side on and in good light would help (poor eyesight I'm afraid)

The best way to find out what judges think is to enter a few smaller shows and see how you do.

Dont worry if one judge doesn't like him, but if its like this country most judges will be happy to give you their opinion and tips for improvement if you ask politely at the end of the class.

If halter classes are judged the same as in hand classes over here the judge will be looking at how true to type, confirmation, movement, condition and turnout. But there are classes at local level which judge just condition or best colour and marking etc. It depends what you have entered.
