I would worm for tapeworm at this time of year and then worm for bots in December/January time as worming for them now may not prove to be effective as the flies are still prevalent and still laying the bot eggs.By waiting til December/January you will kill all the eggs that the horse swallows.

they havnt been on a worming program.. chesnut is new, land they are kept on i know a few years ago had redworms present , land owner at time didnt worm her horses and it was a full on livery yard, she now uses equimax, but having a look into it im thinking equest is a better option

In that case I would do an equest Pramox. That will be effective to get rid of the small redworm, tapeworm and bots.

If your horse is unwell I would be careful worming and not recommend E Pramox. Normally I think you should worm count first as if the horse has a heavy burden you need to worm with care, but of course the post strike makes that difficult this week. (expletives deleted!)
My choice would probably be a combi like Eqvalan duo or Equimax, then use Equest next time(in about 10 weeks time) to treat encysted redworm.

am debating worming him a tall at the moment, tonight he was looking a tiny bit tucked up for my liking watched him very carefully for a while and he totally normal, but then had a friend put her hands over him (shes a healer) without saying anything and it was near dark and she picked up a bit of heat each side of flanks.... also noticed hes been dropping he willy out a lot recentley, am going to put him in tomorrow and monitor pee poor ect
