There is a web site: www.librarything.com

You can catalog your books on there. I thought it might be fun if everyone on NR put their books on one site and we could all see what the others have!

I have taken the liberty of creating a page for us.

User name: NewRider
Password: new

I have put one book up as an example. Will add a few more.

It is very easy - you can type in the author, title, ISNB, etc. and the matching options show up on the right hand side of the page. You just click on the one that matches and it is added!!

On a more advanced level, you can buy a scanner ($15.00 - I got one for Christmas last year). With the scanner, you scan the ISBN numbers into a word document one after another and then they can all be uploaded at once.

You can use the tabs to show various views of the catalog and make tags for each book which lets you bring up books on a certain topic. For example: show jumping, carriage driving, foals, etc.

What does everyone think????

Is anyone interested? Where are all the book lovers?

Can we add any book that we really enjoyed and would like to share, or are we limiting this to horsey books?

ETA: thanks for creating this page for us :)

Kizza007, cool, thanks!!

Freedomstar, I was thinking that it would be a collection of all the horsey books. You can make your own page for books you like though, it's free.

There is also a way to add your NR name by making a separte column so we can see who on NR has any particular book.
