Can any one help?

I have just ridden up the road went to trot and my horse is slightly lame, I did have a stone out one of her hooves (not sure which one)

We think that she is slightly lame from the top of her shoulder.

I think that she could be lame through treading on a stone or have sore feet (as we haven’t just long come back from a riding holiday)

Her shoes aren't very good as my blacksmith is being a bit slow at coming to shoe her.

What do you think I should do now? The blacksmith is coming out any day now so he will put new shoes on her and do what he thinks.

I am going to give her a rest and see how she goes on before ringing the vet.

What do you think?

Hi Haley how is your horse? Has the blacksmith been out yet? She may have bruised her sole when she stood on the stone. You are right to give her a few days before ringing the vet as she may get over it herself. Only if you see no signs of improvement should you call a vet or her condition gets worse. Rhi took a day before I saw some signs of improvement.

Hi there, thank you for getting back to me.

The blacksmith came yesterday and said to give her a few days of, he thinks that her frogs could be a bit sore because of all the stoney tracks we was on when we went to Scotland for a week.

He has put some 'special' shoes on her.

I want be going down today until about 4.30, so wish me luck!!

Thanks again for replying
