bringing a horse back to work

:confused:hi can anyone help, my tb mare has just got over laminitis about 2 weeks ago,my vet says its ok to bring her back into work now but gently,i have read on different sites about this,some say walking to start for about 4 weeks to build up the right muscles first then others say trotting will build up strong muscles,im very confused this is something i have never had to do ..she has been out of work for about 3 months now, and i tried trorring her the other day and she tends to drag her back feet,is this because she hasn't built up enough muscle yet..any advice would be much appreciated
