Nr Mascot of the month/week

mentioned by someone else on another thread, but asomeones horse gets voted the NR mascot every month. The owner of the previous months mascot gets to choose 3 or 4 horses for the rest of NR to vote on.

dont know if its a good plan or not, but it sounds like fun, and it would also mean that new members (and old ones with brains like seives :o) can get to know who owns who etc.

I think that this was tried before but with all the space for complaint and accidental insult it was canned!!

No offence mean't here, but I think this could potentially upset quite a few of the members, especially the kids who aren't in the NR clique - because their neds would be highly unlikely to ever be voted 'mascot of the month'.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it would be more a case of vote for mine and I'll vote for your's type of thing amongst certain NR members.

Doesn't bother me personaly as I very rarely post pictures of my neds on the board anyway.

But surely that's silly you could nominate your own pony? :confused: I personally didn't get Bramble mentioned at all in the pony you most wish to take home thread, but a lot of the younger members did get their horses mentioned ;)

Sure, anyone can nominate their own pony, but at the end of the day, it's the one with the most votes who would get the acclaimed title 'mascot of the month'.

I just feel it would be upsetting for a lot of the kids on this board - but hey, that's only my opinion and I'm not in that age bracket so it doesn't effect me. ;)

im in my teens and it wouldnt offend me at all because of how many ppl have accounts.
it would just make me happy when/if my pony got voted for it!:D
