Going to see one next week :)
I love heavy horses, and the Belgian seems fab because she's a bit shorter/smaller hooved than Shire and Clydie types. Does anyone in NR land have one? What are they like to ride?

Look at 'Loes' on here, I want her she's stunning - tell us more about the one you're going to see.
Plusrider (from the Plusrider forum) has one called Nell and she's adoreable, there not always ploddy though and can be quite strongwilled from what I can gather

have never heard anything good or bad about him
ditto.... I've been looking at his ads for a while because he often has the sorts of horse I like, and I asked on here for people to pm with any comments but didn't get anything. I'm hoping no news is good news!
They seem to be good people, so hopefully even if things don't turn out right with this mare they'll find me someone else. Fingers crossed! :D

Oh they're gorgeous!! I have an Ardennais x which look very alike, in fact my lad looks like Loes only not as tall!!
Molly34 she looks gorgeous. Ardennais breed is orginally from the France/Belgium borders so prob why the look so similar. My lad is now fantastic to ride, can be lazy in school but thinks he's a race horse when out hacking!!;) He can be very strong but once he learnt he couldn't get away with it he's now like a dream!! But i believe geldings mature later!!:D
He's a picture of him

Just done some basic schooling of an Ardennais for a customer. Lovely people friendly horse which could be opinionated but really genuine and by the end of three weeks not only had the steering the owner hoped for but would do a RS level prelim test
Couldn't teach it to jump though as it kept breaking poles by standing on them:D

I was on a thread about only warmbloods doing dressage. Could still be in new posts.
I think the heavy ones look like Belgians. She sounds lovely. Good luck:)

Thankyou!
I never actually made it over to see her last week - the perils of having 2 time consuming hobbies unfortunately!
If she's still available I'll see her tomorrow or Monday. If she's gone (wouldn't be surprised :( ), I'm hoping they'll have a few more similar chunkies to show me..... fingers crossed!
