Huge step forward today...

[Ginger Thing]

As many of you know, I am a nervous hacker (even though I'll quite happily go off and compete at dressage!) and I have hacked out alone precisely once.

Well today I excelled myself and took not one, but both my boys out alone (one after the other of course ;)) ! Only half an hour each, but we cantered through the woods each time - Carlow was spooky, so I'm glad he was second or I probably wouldn't have had the nerve to go out again! The Ginger Thing was as good as gold, didn't put a foot wrong, and I don't normally ride him (and have never hacked him alone, just Carlow!) so was really pleased :D

Might have to resign from nervous nellie's hacking club too at this rate!

So what's next then - taking them over the common / park bet you'd rather take Thomas now than Carlow and who'd have thought you'd ever say that before :)
