Hi every one, I have a problem that I hope you can help me with. In May of this year my horse received quite a nasty injury to his hock due to a kick and spent 4-5 weeks at Leahurst, he had a septic tendon sheath. Now back home at last we have him in a field with a couple of yearlings to avoid any kicks from bigger horses (this is now known as the injury field!:) ) Due to a couple of more injuries on the yard that I am at we have had to put 2 more horses in there. The other day I brought Chance back in and found that he had been kicked on the other hock, but luckily not as bad as the original kick!! Is there anything out there ie. boots that I could put on his bad hock (or even both hocks) to prevent him being kicked again especially on his bad leg as the injury was so bad the first time that we nearly lost him, and I would hate anything to happen to him during his recovery period, or any suggestions would be most welcome.:)
