Following on from Amy's thread below, who is all going to this? I hope to go on Saturday 1st December for the afternoon. Would anyone like to meet up? Has anyone got a programme of events? The website doesn't give times or schedules at all, which is rather annoying (not too sure how early to get there!).

Myself, Marsden and our other livery all went. Enjoyed the shops, my purse didn’t. Enjoyed the demos, best I thought was Andrews and prompted me to actually go get a lesson with him. He even had an unscheduled dismount which he was fab about. Think Marsden found this on youtube already bless him.
Enjoyable but one day or even half a day was enough.

Damn, sounds good. I would have loved to see the unscheduled dismount. I have had a lesson from Andrew who used to do sessions for our riding club. He was very nice, though we were probably the worst in our group - my horse had just started jumping at the time. I think I would get more out of it now (though we would probably still be the worst in the group!)
I was looking forward to the shopping as well! Wanted to get a new bridle.

I found it on youtube too... type in 'andrew hamilton fall' (should have noted web address but forgot), think it's quite easy to find. Can't believe how small the jump is he fell off at, makes me feel a lot better about my riding seeing professionals like him hit the dirt once in a while :D

Jump was small as the horse was a 4 year old never been in an environment like that before just learning and introducing grid work. His eyes were on stalks and from the side line he looked a hell of a ride with a tonne of energy. Yeah it was unscheduled and the jump looks small but he didn't have a chance as the shoulder dropped and he was out the side door before you would have had noted what was happening.
I thought it showed something i could actually relate to to be honest and how and what to do to work through it, made him more real if that makes sense.
As Andrew said - "who wants a shot........?"

i was a bit diappointed by it actually:o
horse shops were good but if you went for the "craft fair" you would be sorely disppointed - think there were 3 craft stalls!
AH later brought out and jumped a lame horse - not cool

Missed most of the jumping, but I was a little disappointed too - not that many shops, nowhere near as good a selection of stuff as last time I went - must be a good few years ago now...
Loved the driving though - those ponies were flying!!

Nookster, I wasn't criticising him if that's how it came across, I just meant it makes me feel better seeing professionals lose balance and fall off too. I'm not the world's best jumper so I like to know it's not just me who falls off occasionally :) I agree with you about it being something to relate to.

I was there on sunday:D didn't get there until late afternoon though as me and my friend had to do the horses at lunchtime. We saw Andrew Hamilton ride his other four year old stallion and it was great! He just laughed about his hitting the deck on saterday though lol! I loved the little carriage driving ponies (went and had a nosey at them in their boxes).
