Just wondered which people think is the easier out of these two tests, as theres a dressage comp next weekend that i'm hoping to go to but dont know which class to do. I know what prelim 18 is like and have had a go at it and found it pretty easy and straight forward but no idea what 13 is like. So if any one can give me a idea in comparison to 18 or just the sort of things it has in would be great as cant get a copy of the test till this weekend.

Thanks

I would say 13 is harder, it's got a turn down the centre line in working trot with transition to walk (2-5 steps) then proceed in working trot, and there's a give and retake of the reins over the centre line on a circle in working trot.

Having said that, it's not difficult, the canter work is easier than P10, and there's no 1/2 circles back to track or from E-B or anything like that. The canter transitions are on a 20m circle 'before X'. If you're happy with the trot-walk-trot transition and give and retake it's pretty straightforward.
