Drummer & Eli

Last sunday i decided to bite the bullet and take eli out alone, after all i have had him three weeks now
i a bit happier hacking alone now (thanks to AnnH) and Drummer has been good practice.
Eli was fab, we only went roung the block but he is only 6, not ever really seen traffic and his mom was shaking like a leave :) - scarey stuff isnt it, esp on an unknown horse
The best bit is that i sort of enjoyed it as well :)
Just started to take DDJunior on Drums out as well
Gonna have to start being a bit braver as want to 'try' and compete this horse next year (well not compete, but participate) lol xc and sj and dressage (lord help us) Dont think he has done anything the dealers have said he has done, but he is sweet, genuine and a fast learner. Will stick RI on the first few comps lol (see thats brave...ill be watching!!!!)

I took my horse out for a hack about 10 minutes after she arrived and we had a fantastic time!! I wouldn't go by what books say, do what you are comfortable with but don't leave it too long and build up 'what might happen' in your head

Ah, well done you! :)
I think hacking out alone is more scary than XC, SJ or DR!!!
I've had BB for 22months, I've done all the above, plus sponsored rides, Hunter trials, shows etc, but I've only hacked out 3times on my own!
Mind you, I did go last Saturday, to the forest, and it was beautiful, so maybe doing more!
Well done again hun.... any pics? xxx
