Just found out about this - you probably all know about it but thought I would share... My mare's abscess has just popped but she also has WLD - my trimmer told me this is just signs that everything is opening up to let infection out and also is questioning whether that lami she had in that foot was in fact not but this low grade infection that's been going on for months!? Anyway, I'm spraying with apple cider vinegar every day but now also been suggested I also put some bee propolis in the holes- natural antiseptic. Been reading up about it and it sounds good - also ordered some for the family!!

My friend uses that for mud fever and says it is excellent! she gets it from Hilton Herbs and has used it on all kinds of things - worth having a pot!

I use it when I have a cold!
As well as normal honey of course, which is also an excellent antiseptic and wound dressing. (Wally uses it like that on horses, I havent yet)

It is brilliant stuff- what bees make to keep the hives sterile therefore very good as antiseptic etc. I'm lucky cause I have my own bees so if I need any..... :)
