My new horse came with a bridle.... the vendor very kindly stripped it all and gave it a damn good clean and condition before I picked her up, but she left it in 2 pieces and I can't figure out the 'right' way to reattach the noseband!!

I'm assuming I have to thread the strap through the sides of the browband so it goes over the poll as well? Should it go over or under the piece that holds the browband & bit? Over the top doesn't look 'normal', but underneath looks like it would be uncomfortable for the ned.....

I know how you feel - I have had similar happen to me. Took me ages, but got there in the end.

Try and find a picture in a horsey book if you have any, or a pic off the net and follow that.

Good luck - And dont get pulling your hair out!!!:p:)

Thanks guys. :)
I thought it must go under from pics in mags etc so its nice to know I wasn't being completely blonde!! It just looks like having the thinner strap underneath would be uncomfortable over the the poll - is it possible to get some sort of padding, or am I just being too soft?

You can get padding - I believe Prolite sell poll pieces that you can attach to the bridle, but unless your horse is incredibly sensitive, I've nevwer known it to be a problem.
