Well it arrived yesterday. Very beautiful, lovely soft leather and accompanied by the Elevator 'Bling' brush as a free gift in compensation for a mix up which led to me being overcharged for the bridle (cheque in the post) and a delay in it arriving.
This together with the arrival of alicat's new saddle and posh leathers, going down the yard had a rather festive feel to it :D Sadly that didn't last - although it had X stamped on the bridle, I don't think it was even a full! Maybe, but more likely cob size as it didn't fit ali's cob and, although he wears a full, he can squeeze into a cob size! So since Flora is without question an XF girl, its now wending its way back to Elevator and I'm trying to be patient, but its getting annoying now  It was like a Christmas pressie that didn't have batteries

wish I'd warned you about the sizes, but thought it was just my horses fat head!! lol. We ordered a cob and had to return it for a full as it no way fitted. very frustrating!!

Mmmmm ...! worrying and strange given that at YHL, they urged me to consider a full because their sizes are "so generous"! I did handle an XF there (wrong colour). From memory it was much bigger than the one they sent!
I'll let you know what they say when they get it back.

The mind boggles at the kinds of presents you've been getting that require batteries... ;):D

When I ordered Peri's they did mine to measure - I gave them the lengths of the browband, length from bit ring to bit ring over the ears, measured round the nose and also measured over the ears to where the browband joins. Afraid I'm well practised as she is a nightmare to fit as her bridle usually has to be a mixture of cob and full. The only bridle I've ever bought that fitted well is the Kieffer. Her Barnsby came up small, more like a cob size. Browband was too small but I was changing the browband to her blingy one anyway, so it didn't matter.

It might come to that I suppose. The Albion XF is too small for Flora, but Stubben and Jeffries XF are fine on her and the girl at Elevator told me that they usually find that Stubben are much smaller than they are on size. I reckon there is a good chance that the saddler stamped it with the wrong size
I'll report back.

Turns out most of it was full, with a couple of X full bits thrown in  They are now said to be making me an X Full which I'm told will arrive at the end of the week.

How funny,I was overcharged too, did get the difference refunded though. And the sizes are on the small side, my mare is a full widthways but cob sized in length. Hers is a full size and a bit small, maybe thats why she doesn't like it. I've gone back to her Pessoa bridle, which is really disappointing as her beautiful Elevator is hanging up in the tack room.
