Do i dilute it to the instructions on the bottle? I'm planning to use it after scrubbing the boys feet out with their lovely aloe vera soap, just to spray on. would that be ok?

I'm going to try doing the feet on one side with milton, and continuing with the colloidal silver on the other side. hopefully the millton will work just as well as its much cheaper!

Every few days after i've sprayed I pack with MSM too - that still ok with milton?

Thanks :)

I would be keen o hear anyone elses views on this also.:D

When I first took my horse shoeless I used Milton for thrush - syringed either side of the frog and in the central part, then packed it with sudocrem everyday. Cleared it up brilliantly before the trimmer's next visit. Not a sign of it now.

If I remember rightly I used 1/3 milton to 2/3 water, dunno if thats what it says on the bottle.

I use boots or tescos own brand rather than actual milton but usually dilute 1 milton to 2 water and scrub, would use it less concentrated for soaking but have had really good results from just scrubbing so haven't ever bothered soaking. I've scrubbed with milton and then packed with MSM with no problems, works really well.

My EP just recommended soaking his foot for 10 mins in a 1 part Milton (or generic steriliser)/5 parts water solution, then applying MSM. Can be done daily if you want:)

Why are you using Milton on your horse's feet?

to help tackle thrush and other nasty things :)

My EP suggested using cider vinegar diluted 50/50 with water instead of Milton. So I use that as a general 'disinfectant' and then pack with Sudocrem and it has worked a treat. Maybe worth giving that a try.
