a friend of mine has one - she got him as an ex racing 12 yo - and hes now 26 and retired. Beautiful horse, he had to be retired due to arthritic joints when he was about 17 . Hes very dark brown all over. She did all sorts with him, dressage, SJ, showing, successfully. He wasnt an easy character but is lucky as she is devoted to him!!

My boy is an extremely difficult ride but I wouldn't swap him for anything. He is an ex pacer who I rehabilitated and now SJ is his forte.
So, for all those people who say pacers/trotters can't jump - they should come and see my boy :D

Aww Chunky looks so lovely. He defo lives up to his name as well lol - he does look very chunky for a SB.
They do make fab horses don't they. All the ones I have ever come across have been very difficult rides (mine included) but are so kind, honest, loyal and just such great fun.
My SJ is 15 going on 3 and adores his jumping. His flatwork is good but he just finds it oh so boring lol.
I absolutely love SB's - mine was bred in NZ :D

Yeah is a pretty solid boy. Hes a bit of a difficult ride too,hes quite sensitive to ride but he is good fun.
I find they are quite good learners as well,I taught him to jump and he picked it up really fast.

yeah my boy is a NZ standardbred.
He is SO intelligent. He adores his jumping. All the people that say trotters/pacers can't jump - what a load of b*****ks
