Well...
they are black (mostly) and hairy and have a warped sense of humour :D
Other than that the FPS or if you have the prefix contact the breeder.

Theres, loads of information on the web about them,
but,all my personal experiences with them have been good :)
Very hardy and tough, can easily carry adults, very sure footed, and always want to please... they also come in grey or bay.black preferably or with very minimal white markings, and height never greater than 14hh.I've just recently acquired a beautiful colt but i've always had a soft spot for them, quite a leap from wb's and sport horses i have been snubbed by people at my yard as to why i've bought myself a pony! cheek, but i don't care i've nothing to prove to anybody ;)

I always have a good giggle when the little chap I compete gets disdainful looks and then thrashes all the big WB naglets.
He really does have an exceedingly warped sense of humour though :lol

I found the pony I was looking for on the Fell Reg. But nobody can tell me anything about him since he was registered.

Our pony (Jessie 13:2hh) is I'd say about 90% Fell in her breeding and a bit of Welsh. We got her from Gypsies so knowledge of her lineage from them is really non existent :(
However, They were showing a Fell pony at YHL last month and he was virtually identical to her in stature (a lot of bone and very very powerful :D), build, markings etc etc which convinced me that they were so alike, she could have been his sister.
We will never part with her, she is very intelligent and really the most fantastic pony (pet), truly a part of the family

I love Fells. My Mare is a fell x cob, she is 14.3hh, her mum was a 13.2hh fell.
