Hey!
Ive got my first show jumping clear round on sunday and need some advice!!!
Any tips on remembering the course?
How many jumps will there be approximately in a 20x40 school?
And anything else!!!
Thanks x

Between 8 and 12 including both elements of doubles. Clear round courses are generally not as complex as they can't be fussed to set up and take down more jumps.
Golden rule with any course - go and walk it first !
where is it ?

Its at my local riding school, Newnham Equestrain Centre!
Not sure if you've heard of it!

Main thing is - relax! It's amazing what you'll forget if you are uptight!
I agree, walk the course first and replay it thru your mind again a few times and every time imagine yourself getting a fabulous relaxed clear round!!

I'm showjumping on Sunday too so I'll send you some vibes!
I usually walk it twice, and then stand at the entrance and recall it, pointing at them with my whip so that I get it in my head!
I'm dead nervous too, I'm riding a horse I haven't ridden much in the Accumulator, and it says "Joker at least 1m"!!! I'm looking forward to it in a strange way though because last time I took him in the CR and the 1st class and he was such a good boy! :D I don't want to let my RI down though because he's her horse who she evented to CCI* level so it'll be my fault if it goes wrong! :S
GOOD LUCK :D Remember to enjoy it!! :) SMILE!!
