Barefoot over winter

Hiya, Brodie has been barefoot for about six months now and doing great his feet look fab and I can stop checking out other horses feet...its become an obsession!! :D
I used NAF Hoof & Sole for the first couple of months as he was very sore then through the rest of summer I used NAF Hoof Moist to stop them drying out.
What do I do over the winter to stop them getting too soft?!
My farrier says his feet are good, he gets 5-6 hours turnout during the day and is stabled overnight, would this be enough to let them dry out?
He is on a good diet of Dengie Hi-Fi Original with additional Vitamin & Mineral Suppliment.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

If your farrier says his feet are fine then I would leave them.
If it aint broke, don't fix it :D
If you are worried, just have a good old chat with your farrier.

The fact he is in should dry them out enough, you might find that is feet will crack as they are getting wet and drying out all the time, the hoof adjusts to the conditions of the seasons, a lot of us had problems with cracking this summer as it was very wet and the feet grow faster in the summer, and then they were getting dryed out the soaked again.
I use that NAF Hoof and Sole as well really good stuff, love the fact he walks round with purple feet.:D

He has black hooves so it doesn't really show up. :rolleyes:
Should I maybe continue using the hoof moist over winter even just a couple of times a week to stop them drying out when hes in?

It certainly won't hurt him. If you are concerned the best person is the farrier for hoof questions.
Prince has two black feet and two white it does show up on the black feet if you put it on then go over it once it's dry.
