Went to snetterton ILPH to do some unaffiliated jumping with Honey bee.
She was absolutely great!!
Took her in the 2ft3 to start off with. Had a time limit of 1minute and 30 seconds to get round. Many people were getting time faults and generally faults by knocking a pole or running out.
We went clear. Had a good time. A bit too of a good time. Took me and Honey 45 seconds to get round...
Then done the jump off, 6th to go out of 21 competitors in the jump off... Went clear again, in a time of 31.23 seconds! And landed 5th! So very pleased with her, She was really excited in the line up, when the judge was handing out the rossies she started mini rearing and whinning at her! Was really cute..
Won a bag of carrots and i got a chocolate santa, which my mum stole and ate in front of me!!
Then decided to take her in the 2ft6, she was awesome again, went clear and went clear again in the jump off, even better than the first class's jump off. Her canter was really smooth and when i decided to do a tight turn from one jump to another Honey curved around the corner! Felt soo nice. And got a very very good time of 28.76 seconds! We came THIRD! out of THIRTY TWO competitors! And the person that came 1st and 2nd has one of the fastest ponies in Norfolk annnd we were only 2 seconds behind her!! Wooo.
Also you wouldnt believe how blooming cold it was! Was about -02 degrees! My hands were frozen, when i took them off the reins they stung for ages, and the same for when i got off, landed on my toes and it felt like i broke every bone in my foot!
I think that by giving Honey 5-6 weeks off and feeding her cortaflex has paid off dont you think?
Anyways..
