But...
The last hickstead derby that was on (at least I think it was!) Geoff Billington was assisting commentator (correct?)...
Well I saw a horse, as you do... :p, just like a "bouncy ball" as Geoff describes, literally bouncing along in the canter with his legs quite high!
Thing is I can't remember the horses name and I would really like to look into the horse etc.
So, someone willing to surprise me?

Oki Doki, ridden by Albert Zoer? I'm in love with that horse!
Edit: Just seen the video so yep that is Oki Doki. He was at Olympia and they were saying they'd been offered 4 mill euros for him earlier in the month and refused it.

Stunning action he's got though, yes?
I hope that because they didn't take the 4 million euros that it doesn't mean they want more for him? I hope it was for the love of the horse and his pricelessness and not "not enough" money... if you see where Im coming from?

I think it was for the love of the horse, because didn't the announcer guy say "he wouldn't part with him" or something like thaT?
I could be wrong, though!
I agree with you, I hope it was for love of the horsey though :D

Yep it was for the love of the horse I'm pretty sure, and because he's a darn good showjumper they don't want to give him up for any amount of money!

Hehe, I love Geoff... and he appears to love that simile!:p
I think its good that it was a decision for the love of a horse and not the money. :)

I love that horse. <3
I read somewhere. They said no to over 100 offers over 2 million pound, and they said "this horses is a one in a million, and he's ours, and we love him."
How sweet's that? :)

I know it's great isn't it. It's rider's and horse-people like that, that really deserve the good luck and fortune and popularity that they get. Others...well, they should consider themselves lucky the horses love their jobs :)

Dont want to be too cynical, but I wonder how long he will keep him after the Olympic Games, especially if he does well, the horse will be worth multi millions then!

If he does well, i think he is the type of person that will know that he is earning more than enough for him to have fun with, and that the horse is something special. I know, I for one, after having all the money he'll get if he succeeds at the Olympics would want to do well on the horse I brought on and showed to the world. No-one else would be having my glory.
