Hi
In the D test I am preparibng for on Friday it says on the PC website that It has stuff about the green cross code for horses in it etc.
Is this the same as the road saftey test? Or are they totally differant things.
Also do you need a road saftey to go on hacks?

Don't know about the D test, sorry.

For hacking there is no requirement for you to have passed the road safety test but it is certainly a good idea to have as much knowledge as possible so that you are 'roadwise'.

Good luck with your D test :D

Hi
It used to be how to ride along a road (keeping to verge and looking over your shoulder), how to cross a road (same as green cross code), and how to 'say' thank you to motorists (wave of hand or smile and aknowledgement via head ie nod!)
Good luck

You can get a riding and road safety book from the BHS website from the bookshop.

It is a very good idea to read it. It's not the "LAW" but it is a code of how to behave to keep safe and keep other road users safe.

If you can, go and learn about the Riding and Road Safety course and test you can do. I think you have to be at least 12 before you can take it.
