I thought it was about time I gave an update on Logic's amazing recovery today.
A quick recap for anyone that missed our story....
One Saturday lunchtime at the beginning of October I had a call from our livery yard manager to say that Logic had had an accident, the vet was there and they needed me to get to the yard immediately. In a state of panic I rushed to the yard, assuming that whatever had happened, they needed me there to give consent for her to be put to sleep.
When we got there there were about 4 fire engines, paramedics, RSPCA, vet, various farmers there. The road had been closed and my poor Logic was trapped upside down in a very narrow beck that runs alongside her field.
She had to be anesthatised which was very difficult and it took a few hours to get her out of the ditch. All very traumatic.
Fortunatly, because the ditch was so narrow she only had superficial wounds to legs and body, but she had injured her face quite badly.
Here she is when she had just come around from the anasthetic and the vet had cleaned her up

As the weeks went by, the wound on her head got bigger and bigger and I was terribly concerned that she would never get better.

But I am pleased to say that eventually the wounds did get smaller!! Just after Christmas I removed the scab on her face, expecting to see her skull as usual and WOW !! Just nice pink flesh!!
