My mare has been on box rest for just under 4wks now (poss strangles) - today I noticed a bump on her right hind on the cannon bone (pretty sure it wasn't there before) she has a white sock on this leg and I'm not too sure if it's the comparison between the white and black but the fetlock looks a tad swollen although there is no heat - could this just be from the box rest - as she's not allowed to leave her stable at all and it's not really a very big box or is it worth a word with the vet? It's hard to get a close look as she's being very leggy at the moment and not really allowing me to pick up her back feet.
