Hey guys...
This show season im thinking about showing a first level kur. I need ideas for music though. Nothing too huge, i was thinking something like "Top Gun" sound track but i don't want vochals, and its hard to put together instrumental with the little ammount of it they have.
Does anybody have websites that i can sample music, or any really good ideas?
Can't use...
James bond
Starwars
Lord of the Rings
Austin powers
Zorro....
too many people up here use that..
Please help :)

You might not like it... but this may be interesting and although its magical... elegance!:) If you listen to the whole of it, it is actually a very good piece of music in my opinion. If my mates could hear me now:p;)

How about Madonna - there is an RPO record which has no vocals on.

Try the sound track to Pirates of the Carbinean.
There was an article in a mag about it the other day. One person started using it when the first movie was out and the judges did not like it, but now some of the top riders are using it and the judges cannot get enough!!

The important thing is to get music that you like and that fits your horse's beat, also something your horse will work to. One of my girls was a Carpenters kinda girl and the other a Rock diva who liked Tina Turner and Foreigner etc, they let you know what they like and dance accordingly. I would not go for something everyone is using, form a judging perspective it lacks originality and flair. It got to the point that I cringed at yet another Abba compilation. The same can be said about Pirates at the moment, or even James Bond ( which I used 4 years ago!) Find your own theme, and try to be original, even retro, remember the average age of the judges is 40 plus so start at the 1960's and work forwards. The Equimusic website is well worth a look and tells you how to find the bpm of your horse's gaits, remember that with a touch of adrenalin they tend to up a gear in competition, so don't worry too much if it seems a beat too quick. Also ensure you incorporate all the compulsory requirements and try to make your floor plan innnovative, but symetrical. ( Sorry about the spelling but long cold day competing and bottle of red wine later.....:o)
